Memberships – Deleting a Late Cancel Fee
FSM can be configured to automatically charge for late cancel or no-show based on membership type. If you have set this up properly, then you’ll see all upcoming “late cancel fees” that will be charged under Finance ⇾ Scheduled Charges.
On this tab you’ll see the student name, the date the late cancel charge will go through, the class information they are being charged for, the lesson status and the amount.
If the charges are correct, you do not need to do anything, they will process on the charge date.
If the attendance status is changed from “late cancel” or “no show” in the class roster, FSM will check for that before making the charge. Meaning, if there was a mistake in attendance, you don’t need to do anything up properly update the roster before the charge date.
However, if a student DID “late cancel” but you don’t want to charge them for a reason, you don’t want to change the attendance on the roster because they DID late cancel and you want a record of that. Instead, click the x under the action column to delete the pending charge before the charge date.
If a late cancel charge goes through at the scheduled time and you want to delete it, you would then need to refund it from the ledger to remove it.
